Pirate Parrrrrrrrrty!

Jake turned three waaaaaaaay back in March. He is ALL up into pirates (see: Jake and the Neverland Pirates on Disney), so we had a pirate party. Here are a few of the highlights and favorites. If you care to see more pictures, I have some more on Facebook.

This was the only three seconds that he had on
the bandana and eyepatch the whole party.

The party table.
I actually bought that tablecloth on clearance last
summer thinking we would have a Cat in the Hat party.
Totally worked for a pirate party too.

Pirate ships and buried treasure cupcakes.

Everyone got an eyepatch, bandana, tattoo,
and sword when they came in.

Treasure to take home.

The favorite game: Dig for Treasure

Happy Birthday Jake!

The Second Birthday

Last Saturday was both Jake's birthday and his party. The theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar. If you want to see a few more pictures than these, you can look at my Facebook album of them.

The Invitation

Waking up to his birthday sign on the wall.

Homemade garland, thanks to my Cricut...
and my mom for gluing it all together.

The living room wall.

Waiting for his friends to arrive

Playing during the party

Just like in the story, all of the food had holes in it.

He actually ate his cake, unlike last year.

Hooray! I'm two!

Happy Second Birthday Jake!

The Par-tay

We had Jake's big (and by big I mean very small) first birthday party on Saturday. Here are a ridiculous number of pictures.

Remember when I took the baseball pictures?
This is what I made with one of them.

I made this awesome thing with the Yankees logo.
Not that we like the Yankees. It was just closest to his name.

Put it all together and this was the invitation.
Total cost: $2.00 for printing the pictures.
(I already had the paper, envelopes, and stamps.)

The party decorations and cupcakes.

The Jake Cake

The spread... pretzels, nachos, candy, and of course Cracker Jacks.

The collage of the Snoopy pictures.

Mama and her one year old.

The decor up close.

Mama and Daddy and their one year old.

Jake and his girlfriend, Lindsay.
And Coach K.

What are you doing here and why are you playing with my toys?

Granna and her one year old.
And check out his sweet Red Keds we found this weekend!

Checking out the balloon Aunt Candice brought.

Daddy and his one year old.

Can we get this party started?

Ready for some cake!

Some very wide-mouthed singing.

Blowing out the candle with Mama.

What am I supposed to do here?

It's fun to poke it!

Not so sure about the cake.
On to presents!

Not unlike Christmas, the paper was a hit!

Reading a card.

The overalls that my friend/college roommate Gillian made for Jake.

The back of the overalls!
Way to go Gillian!
Gig 'em Class of '31!

Keep away! This is MY wagon!

The cousins.

Mimi and Pop with their one year old.

Jake enjoying his push-along scooter.

Daddy and son.

Jake with all of his loot. He also got a car seat for Daddy's car from Mimi and Pop and a car seat for Mommy's car from Great Grammy.
