What About Jack?

Jack loves Jake. Back when Jake cried more often Jack would run in to see what was wrong. If we didn't respond fast enough, he would run up to us as if to say "Well, are you going to help him?"

His favorite thing to do is sniff Jake. These two pictures are from the week Jake came home, but he still does it whenever he can. And if we don't watch him, the sniffing becomes licking. On the mouth.

Jack's also always been happy to just be next to Jake.

No matter where he is.

Or what he's doing.

When I'm holding Jake in the recliner, Jack always wants to be with us.

He spends a little more time outside now.

Here he was waiting patiently while I took Jake's three month pictures just inside the door.

And he loves the Boppy.

Loves it!

It's his favorite by-product of having a baby in the house.
Also, having tiny baby clothes around the house to steal in addition to socks.

First VBS

Jake was excited about his first Vacation Bible School this year at church. (It was a few weeks ago. I've just been slow in posting.)

Yay VBS!

Apparently, if you carry Jake down the hall at church not strapped into the carseat, he will stand.

"Help, Mama!"

Hanging out with the Australian scenery.

See? He had a blast!

Three Month Pictures

As I mentioned the other day, I decided to take Jake's three month pictures myself. It was very hot on Saturday so I didn't get very many good pictures. It was too bright and he didn't want to keep his eyes open. Here are the other good ones I got (other than the two I posted last time.)

This is what he does all of the time now. Eat his hand and grab things.
After this I quit and came back Sunday when it was slightly cooler and cloudy.

"Really? You expect me to cooperate in this heat?"

Once he gave me the George W. Bush look, we headed inside for the rest of the pictures.
I changed him into a cute baseball get-up for the next set.

This one was cute in black and white and color. I like the two unique faces he made.

"Are we done yet?"

These next three are my favorites. I've talked about the website ArtsCow before. I got an e-mail today from them saying I could get as many 4x4 canvas prints as I wanted for $4 each! So I picked these three pictures and worked with them a little to get them to go well together. I'm excited to see them. In a month. When they show up. From Hong Kong.

A Year Ago Yesterday

I meant to post this yesterday. Obviously. But I didn't. So here it is today. A year ago yesterday we found out a baby was on its way! After work I made a very quick run to Barnes and Noble to get Jon a daddy book to tell him, to the mall to get a cookie cake to tell his family at dinner that night (which ended up being the next night), had my tire explode on the freeway, and headed home to break the news.

And look what we have now. Pretty much the greatest baby ever born. These were from my first attempt at taking Jake's three month pictures (a few weeks late) yesterday. It was way too hot and bright, so he wasn't having it. It's SLIGHTLY cooler today and cloudy, so we're going to try again in a little while. Wish me luck!
