Way To Go, God!

One benefit to leaving the house by 7:00am is that I
get to see some pretty awesome sunrises.

Pardon the dirty window on this one.
I was trying to get the fog that was almost resting on the river.

The Daffodils

On Friday, the three of us all headed out to this church outside of town that has a huge field of daffodils bloom every year. (I went there two years ago too when my camera was new.) It was a fun day. I tried to limit how many pictures I put on here, since it's basically all the same thing, but it was hard to find where to cut some. So I spiced it up with the captions to hopefully keep you hanging on.

We packed up the wagon and headed out.

We had Jake's first not-just-lying-there-in-a-carseat picnic.

I had originally bought this sweater for fall pictures,
but it worked for this day instead.

Oooooo... flowers!

Happiest guy around!
He sticks his tongue out all of the time
when smiling now. It's pretty darn adorable.

It's fun to play swords with daffodils.

This would have been cute if it wasn't for the lens flare.
Darn you, sun!

I actually like this picture of myself. Jake's always cute.

Flying!

Kisses for Daddy

Happy Easter everyone!

"And God said to the people..."

The fam

It's fun up here!

See that redhead kid hiding in the flowers? I had to turn around and say "Are you just going to stand there?" and he squatted down. It was funny.

I love this kid!

My hair is all up on his head.
Otherwise, I love this one.

Wagoning in the flowers.

Hi people! I love my wagon!

After we left, we stopped by a little inlet I saw by a lake.

I was trying to get a good picture of him.

Jake was more interested in touching
all of the paint chips out of the table.

He thought it was funny.

His hair was blowing in the wind!

Good Morning!

Jake woke up this morning. And gave about 627 faces in the process. (I had turned on the vibration on the bassinet to keep him calm for a few more minutes while I got dressed. That's what that noise is. Or I was possibly recording it on a reel-to-reel video camera.)

And this was the sunrise this morning in case you missed it:

Thanks, God!

Our Four Hour Vacation

Jake and I had to drive 50 miles to Petit Jean State Park yesterday to pick up D who was camping with his grandparents. I wasn't happy about it, but the drive was really pretty. It was my first time out of town, other than down I-30 for 350 miles to see my parents, in several years. So I documented it.

When we got there D was fishing at a small lake right by their tent.

Jake was excited.

He also enjoyed watching C fish.

There were also geese right by their tent.

They stayed in a teepee the first night.

There were weird frames inside of the teepee to put mattresses on, but they just used blow up mattresses on the ground.

The lake was beautiful.

On the way back to Little Rock, we stopped at a park for lunch. Jake had fun.

The Peaches

Last Saturday the peach tree looked like this:

And this Saturday, it looked like this:

We are going to have a lot of peaches. Did I say that already?

Weird slimy stuff on one of the peaches. I have no idea.

The ground is covered with tiny peaches that have fallen to their demise, mixed in with last year's peach pits. I guess it's due to all of the wind recently.
