22, 23, and 24 Months Old!

YES! We're finally finished with the Snoopy Shenanigans! (If you want to see all 24 months of pictures in a row, you can look at my facebook album of them.)

22 Months

23 Months

TWO YEARS OLD!

And then, what I've planned for a long time...
the old t-shirt switcheroo!

Happy 2nd Birthday Jake!
(Party pics to come...)

21 Months!

We're almost done with this business.
Three more months.

He was actually excited about taking the picture this month.
He saw Snoopy and started climbing up in the chair.
And this is how the other pictures went:

20 Months!

I'm stopping this at age 2. Are we there yet? I'm tired of it.

20 Months Old
Still feel dumb referring to his age in months.
In January, it's switching to "He'll be 2 in March."

I didn't take a "his foot and my hand" picture because
I forgot, but you can tell it's big by perspective.
I bought him size 7s the other day.

Jack wanted in. Jake wanted out.

Smile, everybody!

Remember The Time I Had A Blog?

Yes, it's been WAY too long. Hopefully someone is still around to see this...

Jake turned 19 months a couple of weeks ago.
I feel dumb still referring to his age in months.

Here he was at 18 months.

That big foot.

He had half a cake again. With 1 1/2 candles.

Yay cake!
He still didn't care about eating it though.
Just like at his birthday party.

Over two days I took his 18 month pictures.
These are my very favorites:

17 Months Old

Way back on August 12th, Jake was 17 months old. I've been super way busy since then with school and all. (I got a job teaching 1st grade this year.) Also, our internet is still pretty slow out here, so uploading pictures takes forever. Sorry for the lack of posts. I'll do what I can.

This is really the best one I got. Sad.
He wouldn't stay still. Imagine that!

Alright. Can I go?

Loving Snoopy.

And I'm outta here!

16 Months Old!

We are 1/3 of the way through Jake's second year!

He and Snoopy coordinated this month.

He may not be doing a lot of things "on time," but he sure can grow teeth! Two of his four molars are in, and I saw just today that all four of his canines are coming in. He'll be gnawing on steak in no time.

This is the best picture I could get of his foot size.

He can now stand on his own for up to a minute, but can't get to standing without holding on to something. He's started letting go of things once he gets to standing. He walks around the house holding onto furniture or our hands. He's really close to actually taking those steps by himself. Maybe by next month!

15 Months Old!

15 Months for us is kind of like probably 8 or 9 months for most people.

He's still the happiest guy on earth.

But he no longer sits still.

He's ready to get up and move.

Ok. Can I go now?

On Saturday, Jake's 15 month "birthday" we had a Sunday School class cookout.

Just hanging out on a picnic table.

Mama finally got me an umbrella stroller!

Trying out a lemon chill that daddy bought
from the ice cream man that came by.

Yes. I've been in this swing before. Several times.

It's hot out here!

14 Months Old!

Sorry for the lack of posts as of late. Not much has been going on. I'll be posting about Jake's first airplane ride soon though!

He's 14 months old now! Say what?!

The foot has now surpassed the finger.
He's been making some major progress with the
start of his physical therapy. Here are his new skills:

This was several weeks ago. It's about time!

Watch out people! He's in motion!
(Even if it is just army-style.)

And this just happened in the past few days. He knows a word! To all outside ears, it doesn't sound like anything, but I waited a few days to proclaim it just to make sure. It really is intentional! He says it when he sees Jack, when I say something about Jack, or when we see a dog in a book. Yay first word!

13 Months Old!

I debated whether or not to continue the monthly Snoopy pictures. I've rolled my eyes at people who have continued the pictures after a year. However, I decided I didn't want to give it up yet. So deal with it.

He only wanted to smile with his tongue out.

The happiness and drooling still continues.

He can almost do a full sit-up on his own.
Especially when we hold his legs down.

He now has 8 1/2 teeth.
4 1/2 on top.

And four straight-up-shaped-like-a-W on the bottom.

As of late...

The child has finally caught up with the rest of earth and was 70th percentile on height, 50th on weight and rockin' the 98th percentile on head size. And he got his 12 month shots and got this super great camo band-aid because he was so tough.

Our trees in the backyard bloomed!

He has returned to the age of chewing on his socks and feet.
That age being 6 months old.

He has started to pull up on the coffee table.
Sometimes he stops to take a bite out of it.

And sometimes he finds the newspaper
or magazines on the coffee table.

He isn't crawling or walking or anything, but started his physical therapy last week. They said they think he's going to progress really quickly, and I agree. He's started making progress on his own at home too, with the trying to stand and pull up, and moving around faster on his belly non-crawling style (such as pushing backward across the room, or rotating in place.)
